Hua Hin is the oldest and most traditional Thai beach resort. Located app. 200 km south of Bangkok on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand, it is easily reached via main roads in 3 hours or so from the capital. Thailand’s first beach resort has long been enjoyed by Thai Royalty and the King maintains a summer palace here. The presence of Thai Royalty ensures the town is well maintained and clean.
A little more tranquil than Pattaya, Hua Hin has much to offer to the golf enthusiast. Eight fine golf courses can be found within a 20 – 30 minutes drive from the town center, including the world renowned courses of BLACK MOUNTAIN GC and BANYAN GC plus the Jack Nicklaus designed SPRINGFIELD ROYAL. Also, the oldest golf club in Thailand, ROYAL HUA HIN, is located very close to the town center.
The challenging SEA PINES GOLF LINKS is a fine member of the local golf scene with some fabulous holes running along the Thailand Gulf shore to finish your round. The improved MAJESTIC CREEK CC is considered by many to be the best pure golf layout in Hua Hin.
Throw in the fine parkland courses of PALM HILLS GC & IMPERIAL LAKEVIEW GC you will find plenty of choices of excellent golf in the area, along with beautiful tranquil beaches, outstanding seafood and fabulous beachfront hotels. Hua Hin is a destination that can easily be combined with a visit to Bangkok and Pattaya or as a destination in and of itself.
